Snow squall warning issued for:

  • Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County, Ont. (046420)
  • Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo, Ont. (046430)

Current details:
Snow squalls expected tonight into Saturday

Hazards:
Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 15 to 20 cm.
Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.

Timing:
This evening through Saturday morning.

Discussion:
Snow squalls are expected to move back into the region this evening and may become stationary for several hours tonight. Snow squalls will likely move north of the region by Saturday afternoon.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
