Public Health Ontario reported 438 new COVID cases today.
The latest updates noted 337 recoveries and five new deaths.
The Nov. 4 updates provided by the province's public health agency and the ministry of health also reported the following data:
- 3,189 active, lab-confirmed cases, up from 3,093 yesterday.
- 234 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.
- There are 109 COVID-positive patients in the ICU plus another 21 patients no longer testing positive for COVID-19.
- There are 71 COVID-positive patients on ventilators and another 14 patients on ventilators no longer testing positive for COVID.
- 11,043,036 Ontarians (about 74 per cent of the total population) have been fully vaccinated. 88 per cent of eligible Ontarians have at least one dose of vaccine.
- Included in the new cases today are 227 unvaccinated, 15 partially vaccinated, and 159 fully vaccinated people. 37 cases were reported with vaccination status unknown.
- Among the ICU cases are 62 unvaccinated, five partially vaccinated and 15 fully vaccinated people.
- Those hospitalized with COVID (but not in the ICU) include 78 unvaccinated, 11 partially vaccinated, and 57 fully vaccinated people.
- The seven-day average incidence rate by vaccination status is six cases per 100,000 unvaccinated people, 2.6 cases per 100,000 partially vaccinated people, and 1.3 cases per 100,000 fully vaccinated people.
- The province reported 32,129 tests were processed yesterday, resulting in a 1.7 per cent positivity rate.
- Of the new cases reported today, 72 are from Toronto, 26 are from Peel, 34 are from Simcoe-Muskoka, and 37 are from York Region.
- Today's new cases include 84 individuals under 12 years old, 30 youth between 12 and 19 years old, 134 people between 20 and 39 years old, 122 people between 40 and 59 years old, 62 people between 60 and 79 years old, and five people over 79 years old.
Public Health Ontario has confirmed 601,524 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and reported 588,444 recoveries and 9,891 deaths.
Since the start of the pandemic, 30,659 people have been hospitalized with COVID and 6,010 of them were in intensive care units.
The cumulative average incidence rate in the province is 4,082.6 cases per 100,000 people in Ontario.
Ontario's average weekly incidence rate last week was 17.7 cases per 100,000 people, which is up by 4.7 per cent compared to the week of Oct. 19.
