Saying “yes” to Encore paid off for Luisa Gouveia of Cambridge. She matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Dec. 6, 2023 Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000.
Luisa, a mother and grandmother, said she’s been a weekly lottery plays for over 20 years.
She said she likes to play Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max and always says yes to Encore.
“I checked my ticket at home using the OLG app – I was shocked! It was so unbelievable. I even wrote it down on a piece of paper to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me,” she laughed.
“This win comes at a perfect time,” said Luisa. “I feel so blessed.”
She plans to pay bills, set some aside for the future and have some fun this summer.
The winning ticket was purchased at Glen’s Variety Store & Gas Bar on St. Andrews Street in Cambridge.
