The Hespeler Music Festival is back in Forbes Park to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

On July 6, 11 bands and over 35 vendors will take over the Hespeler park as organizers bring the community together to listen to live music, play games and support local artisans.

The music kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with Sandy MacDonald and goes into the night with a Rolling Stones tribute band hitting the main stage at 9:20 p.m.

The event will have something for everyone with a beer tent, children's activities and food trucks lining the outside of Forbes Park.

The event has been around for nearly three decades, originally starting as the Hespeler Reunion. The organizers wanted to make the event memorable so they hired musicians and made it free for the whole community.

While the festival started in the late 1990s, this year is only the 25th event as they had to pause during the pandemic.

For years, the festival has brought the community together for the love of music.

Organizers are still looking for volunteers and ask if anyone is interested to please contact them via email at [email protected]

The Cambridge Food Bank will also be on-site collecting donations.

The festival will run from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
