Service on Grand River Transit buses and the ION will pause for one minute at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.
It's to recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day.
"Pausing service provides an opportunity to reflect on the beauty, resiliency, sacrifices and valuable contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, and remember that just a year ago the remains of 215 children were uncovered at a residential school in Kamloops BC. This was the first of several revelations across the country." said a news release from the region.
The region is also encouraging residents to learn more about The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.
