City hall hosted a flag raising to mark the beginning of Pride Month in June.

It may be six months away, but a local organization is already preparing for next year's Pride Month.

Grand River Pride is currently searching for volunteers to assist with planning its June events.

Roles pertaining to fundraising, design and coordination are all available.

Last year's festivities included a Pride flag raising at city hall, music bingo, a family fun day and a movie night.

The highlight of the month was a day-long street party in Galt with vendors, a market and musical entertainment.

Grand River Pride is an organization that serves the community of Cambridge and its surrounding area by celebrating life and love for all people. It strives to give visibility to the LGBTQ2+ community through inclusive, family friendly events.
