A Cambridge-based snack manufacturer and a Canadian grocery store giant have taken the chip off their shoulders and come to an agreement to put the salty snacks back on shelves.

The empty chip aisles in Loblaws-controlled stores are finally getting restocked with all of the favorite Frito-Lay products.

“All along, this was about providing value to our customers,” said a spokesperson for Loblaws in an email.

Since February 12, the two food giants have been in a dispute over pricing. Loblaws was refusing to pay the high costs for chips, so PepsiCo. the owner of Frito-Lay pulled products off the shelves.

Recently the two have come to an agreement, the details of which were not made public.

“We have now mutually resolved matters with one of our valued retail partners,” said a PepsiCo spokesperson in an email.

The overall sentiment between the companies is getting back to serving the consumer.

“We’re happy to have a wider assortment in our chip aisle once again, with a mix of new Canadian flavours and classic favourites, at varying prices to suit our customers needs,” said a spokesperson for Loblaws.

According to Loblaws, products started getting shipped out on Monday and stores will be fully stocked by Easter weekend.
