Anyone six months or older can get a free updated COVID-19 vaccine as well as a flu shot
vaccine

The updated COVID-19 and influenza (flu) vaccines are now available for Waterloo region residents.

These vaccines are available at no cost to everyone in Ontario who is 6 months or older. The region says vaccination is the best protection against serious illness.

Vaccine appointments are available from many pharmacies and some health care providers.

Region of Waterloo Public Health flu and COVID-19 vaccine appointments are available to those who do not have an OHIP card, do not have a health care provider, or to families with a child who is under age five.

Some health-care providers in Ontario will also be offering free shots that can protect babies from respiratory syncytial virus starting next week.

The RSV immunization program for infants and high-risk children up to 24 months is set to begin Nov. 4.
