The city's economic development team will welcome a film crew to Queen’s Square and Mill Race Park in Cambridge on Jan. 20 that will force the closure of roads in the area.

Filming in both locations is for the same project coming to a home on Lansdowne Road North next week.

Although the name of the film project remains a mystery, speculation is the cast and crew of The Handmaid's Tale is making a return to Cambridge. The Hulu series has been in production at various locations, including Hamilton, since last fall.

The sixth and final season of The Handmaid's Tale is scheduled to debut in April. The show has filmed scenes for every previous season in Cambridge. The last time the crew was in town was 2022.

Strikes by Hollywood writers and actors in 2023 delayed filming of the final season of the popular show.
