Playground equipment replacements at Otto Klotz Park and Red Wildfong Park are down to two potential designs apiece and the City of Cambridge is seeking input from residents.
The work at the parks was approved by city council as part of the 2023 budget.
A survey where people can vote on their preferred design will remain open until May 21.
The city says the survey will help choose the right equipment for each neighbourhood. Budget, maintenance and making it fun and accessible to everyone is all considered.
The equipment is installed with wood safety surfacing and is usable for children aged two to 12. It's built with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) criteria for safety and accessibility.
Phase one survey results have been analyzed and was used to develop requirements for the redesign. It helped the city describe to designers what equipment each park should have.
The Phase two survey features two designs for each park that residents can vote on.
Otto Klotz Park is located at 287 Garden Street. Red Wildfong Park is located at 150 Melran Drive.
