City running family New Year’s Eve party

Ice skating, a circus performer, ventriloquist, games and more will all be part of the celebration

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 families are welcome to Hespeler Arena to ring in the new year.

The City of Cambridge is preparing for a New Year’s Eve party at Hespeler Arena.

The event, which is open for all ages, will feature ice skating, a Turbo Max inflatable obstacle course, live entertainment and games.

Circus Jonathan, an award winning comic, unicyclist, juggler, renowned clown, circus instructor, master balloon sculptor, stiltsman, wire walker, equilibrist, actor, professional court jester and acrobat will be performing on Rink 1 at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

At 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., Tim Holland Student Ventriloquist will be putting on a show at the Beehive Hall.

Each family in attendance will be given one hour of free skating at a time of their choice. Skating will be available on the Party Rockers rink with dimmed lighting and the Family rink will offer Disney music.

Helmet rentals will be available and the concession stand will be open to purchase snacks.

Doors open at 3:45 p.m. with the festivities running from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
