Cambridge has selected its 50th anniversary logo.
Nearly 2,000 residents voted on the design that is meant to encapsulate the city's curving and flowing shapes of the current logo with a celebratory symbol.
"We have so many important partners in our community and are appreciative of the talent and effort that these students put in to capture a design that encompasses what Cambridge means to them," Julie Kalbfleisch, director of communications for the city of Cambridge said of the designs and creators.
The interlaced shapes of the winning logo represent the communities and people that have made up the city over the last 50 years with a nod to the bridges and rivers throughout the community.
The winning logo was designed by Conestoga College graphic design students Julia and Keri.
Residents are encouraged to keep an eye on the city of Cambridge's social media pages to see how the logo will be utilized.
