Get ready for a fun-filled March Break at Cambridge Public Library. With exciting events throughout the libraries and galleries it is a great time to visit. From toddlers to teens, the week is full of free programs for all ages, featuring drop-in activities, special performances, games, art-making, and more.
Drop-in programs for all ages are available at each location. New and exciting activity stations are available throughout the day, from March 10 to 14. Program details are available online or by picking up a March Break flyer at any Cambridge Public Library location.
March Break Programs and Events Highlights
- Get an early start to March Break and test your skills during The Amazing Race Adventure at Queen’s Square on Saturday, March 8 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday, March 9 (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.). It’s a race across Canada with exciting challenges and activities.
- Celebrate books and music as local author Alison McGauley and the Relative Minors visit Queen’s Square on Saturday, March 15 (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.). Alison is at the library to launch her book, Kenzie's Little Tree with the Relative Minors performing a rocking concert.
- Special guest performances by BIG Balloon Making Machine Show, Scott Boyd Magic, and Dragon's Breath Hula Hoop Circus Show are scheduled throughout the week at various locations.
- Teen programs are also available, with a Teen Zine Lab at Clemens Mill on March 6, 7, 8, and (times vary) and Musical Bingo at Hespeler on Tuesday, March 11 (7 .p.m to 8 p.m.).
- Create unique artwork from Monday to Friday (10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) in the lobby of Queen’s Square at the Cambridge Art Galleries Education Studio Art Cart.
