Cambridge Ribfest is returning to Riverside Park for a sweet and spicy afternoon full of all the fan favourites.

The event will also see the return of the craft beer show, showcasing local breweries from around Ontario.

This will be the second year that Ribfest will be a full three-day event running from Aug. 9 to 11.

"Enjoy mouth-watering barbequed ribs and chicken, an incredible selection of Ontario craft-brewed beer, ciders and cocktails, plus live entertainment and a Kids Fun Zone - all in the atmosphere of Riverside Park," said the event organizers on their website.

While entry to the event is free, donations will be collected to support the Cambridge Rotary Sunshine, an organization that provides programs and donates to local organizations that help the community.

In 2023, Cambridge Ribfest was able to raise $16,224 for Cambridge Rotary Sunshine programs.

At least 14 different breweries will be in attendance to show off their best brews including local favourites Four Fathers and Farm League Brewing.

There will be over 19 different food booths including six award-winning barbecue stands to get ribs, chicken and pulled pork.

Live music will also be on the main stage to entertain guests and a kids zone will be set up for children to play.

Due to the nature of the event, anyone under the age of 19 must be accompanied by an adult.

The event will span three days and be open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday with the event ending a bit earlier on Sunday at 6 p.m.
