The shelter is looking for help keeping its animals warm.

Humans aren't the only ones dealing with the frigid temperatures.

The Cambridge and District Humane Society is asking for donations of winter items to help keep their animals warm.

Fleece blankets, standard sized bath towels, dog and cat beds, and paw safe salt are all needed. No comforters or duvets can be accepted.

The ask comes after the shelter released statistics on adoptions and emergency pet food bank use for January.

A total of 44 animals were adopted last month, including 31 cats, nine dogs and four small animals.

The emergency pet food bank, which offers food to help families in need in Cambridge, assisted 85 cats and 77 dogs.

Donations can be dropped off at the shelter located at 1650 Dunbar Rd.
