Waterloo man faces assault, weapons charges

A 38-year-old Waterloo man is facing assault and weapons charges following an altercation last night.

Waterloo regional police said on Nov. 26, at around 10 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Weber Street North and Marshall Street.

Through investigation, officers determined that two males were involved in a physical altercation, resulting in minor physical injuries to both parties.

The involved individuals were known to each other.

A Waterloo man was arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
