Two arrested in connection with Kitchener armed robbery

Police have made two arrests after an armed robbery in Kitchener last night that had police on the hunt for the suspects.

On Oct. 2, at around 8:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Green Valley Drive and Mill Park Drive for a report of a gunpoint robbery.

The victim went to a residential building to purchase a vehicle from an online website. The victim was approached by two unknown male suspects in a vehicle. A suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded personal belongings. The suspects left in the vehicle with property of the victim.

As a result of the investigation today, police arrested two individuals. 

A 31-year-old male and a 36-year-old male, both from Kitchener were charged with:

  • Robbery with a weapon
  • Forcible confinement
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of stolen property

A 36-year-old male was also charged with:

  • Disguise with intent
  • Breach of release order 

The men were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
