Shots fired at Township of Puslinch home, no reported injuries

OPP say there is no threat to public safety as this is not believed to be a random incident

Police are currently investigating a weapons incident after a firearm was discharged at a residence earlier this morning.

On August 12, 2024, at approximately 2:14 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a weapons complaint at a Wellington Road 36 address located in Township of Puslinch. Initial reports indicated that unknown individual(s) had discharged a firearm at a residence while the occupants were asleep inside.

The Wellington County Crime Unit and West Region Identification Services are continuing to investigate. There is no threat to public safety as this is not believed to be a random incident. No injuries were reported.

The Wellington County OPP is asking anyone in the area to check their video surveillance systems, dash-cams or door-cams for footage between 12:00 a.m., and 2:30 a.m., on August 12, 2024. Any person with information regarding this incident should contact the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122.
