The Waterloo Region Police Service (WRPS) has officially launched its 2024 Stuff-a-Cruiser campaign, aimed at collecting new, unwrapped toys for children this holiday season.
Now entering its 15th year, Stuff-a-Cruiser is a successful collaboration between WRPS and the Knights of Columbus' New Toys for Needy Kids campaign.
To date, thanks to the generosity of the Waterloo Region community, the campaign has collected over $104,000 and 82,000 toys.
Throughout December, the WRPS’ Auxiliary Unit, joined by members from across the Service, will accept donations of new, unwrapped toys at several event locations. The public can also donate toys at any police division until Dec. 22.
"The generosity of the community continues to inspire us," said Mark Crowell, WRPS Chief of Police. "We're grateful for every toy donation that helps bring joy to a child this holiday season."
Once collected, donations will be distributed through community agencies and given to families throughout the Region.
