Pair unharmed after thieves wield weapons in Cambridge robbery

Police say thieves brandished bats, a knife and a taser in a street robbery this morning in Cambridge.

Waterloo Regional Police say at around 5 a.m., officers responded to reports of an armed robbery in the area of Fischer Mills Road.

Two male victims, ages 21 and 22, were approached by approximately five to seven other male suspects, ages between 14 to 20.

The suspects brandished weapons and took the victim's cell phones, jewellery and other personal property, police said in a release.

There are no reports of any physical injuries and it is believed to be a targeted incident, police said.
