Police located and arrested a 30-year-old Waterloo man last night in connection with a stabbing incident.
Waterloo regional police said they were called about an assault involving a knife in Waterloo around 8 p.m. at a home in the area of Weber Street North and Northfield Drive West.
Officers located the victim, a 54-year-old Waterloo male, who was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the accused was charged with several offences, including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused and the victim are known to each other, and there is no concern for public safety.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
