A 32-year-old man was taken to an out of region hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries last night after a stabbing incident in Waterloo.
Waterloo regional police said they were called to the area Amos Avenue and Churchill Crescent for reports of a disturbance around 11:30 p.m.
Upon police arrival, they found the man with stab wounds and he was sent to hospital.
A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and a weapons related charge.
The accused and victim are known to each other and police have no public safety concerns.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
