It turns out that transporting an engine block in the front seat of your car, even if it is buckled in, isn't the proper nor safe way to go about doing such a thing.
A 31-year-old motorist from Markham faces numerous charges after police conducted a traffic stop in Cambridge due to a trailer tire issue, OPP said in a social media post.
The driver was charged with:
• Drive suspend
• No licence
• Improper means of attachment (damaged chains)
• Insecure load - engine block on passenger seat "secured" by seat belt
• No trailer permit
• improper tire on trailer
• No brakes on trailer
• overweight trailer
"Before you tow a trailer, check your trailer connection, tires, and trailer load to ensure it is secure," the post reads. "OPP reminds all drivers to help keep our highways safe by towing equipment safely. Do routine checks on your vehicle and trailer."
