UPDATE: Five-year-old pedestrian rushed to hospital after being struck by vehicle on Queen Street

WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit is investigating a pedestrian collision in Cambridge.

On September 29, 2024, at approximately 12:45 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a Toyota motor vehicle and a youth pedestrian on Queen Street East near Flynn Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 5-year-old male, was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening physical injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 64-year-old male from Cambridge, was not injured.

No charges have been announced at this time. 

Queen Street East was closed for several hours for the police investigation and has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
