Cambridge woman identified in fatal accident near Guelph

Wellington County OPP have identified a 38-year-old Cambridge woman killed in Sunday night's crash west of Guelph

The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have named the woman killed in a motor vehicle collision at Wellington Road 32 and Fife Road, west of Guelph, on Sunday night.

Hema Priya Loganathan, 38, of Cambridge, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was with three other people in a sedan that collided with a pick up truck at the intersection around 6:30 p.m., said Wellington County OPP. The three other occupants of the sedan were transported to a trauma centre. 

The Wellington County OPP, Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services, Waterloo Regional Paramedic Services and local fire departments attended the scene.

The Wellington County OPP is continuing to investigate with the assistance of the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team. The roadway was closed for several hours while reconstructionist were on scene.
