Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate a single motor vehicle collision in North Dumfries Township.

On November 30, 2024, at approximately 3:40 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a single-motor vehicle collision on McQueen Shaver Boulevard at Franklin Boulevard.

A Honda SUV struck the centre of a roundabout and entered a ditch.

The driver of the Honda, a 33-year-old male from Cambridge, was transported to an out-of-region hospital by Region of Waterloo paramedic services with serious injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours for the police investigation and has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing, and charges are anticipated.
