Arrest made in sudden death investigation

On Feb. 5, 2022 at approximately 2:05 p.m., Mr. Williams was located in Cambridge by members of Waterloo Regional Police Service's Neighbourhood Policing South Division.

He was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant in relation to a sudden death investigation and held in custody for a bail hearing.

Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Ronnie Williams, a 32-year-old from Cambridge.

Police are looking to locate him in connection to a sudden death investigation that occurred on Dec. 18, 2020 in Cambridge.

Mr. Williams is wanted on charges of trafficking fentanyl and criminal negligence causing death.

He is described as a white male, approximately 5'9" tall. Mr. Williams has a distinct tattoo on the left side of his neck.
