Barry Richard Walsh passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the age of 73.
Barry was generous, loving, compassionate, determined, and a big softy. He loved to play golf and created his own golf tournament, known as "Barry and the Boys," which occurred annually for 20 years. He loved to listen to country music and travel with Janet, and cherished the memories from their trips to Nashville, Ireland, and Alaska.
Above all, family always came first. Barry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Janet Walsh, daughter Olivia Burgess (Dale), son Jason Walsh (Kelly), daughter Melissa Gelsing (Mark), grandchildren Zoey, Rebecca, Logan, Brooklyn, Addison, Damon, JJ, and Justin, sisters Brenda and Heather, brothers Arnold (Carol Ann) and Glen (Barbara), and many more extended family members and friends. Barry was predeceased by his parents Ray and Jean Walsh, and his brothers Dennis and Tim Walsh.
Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be held at Barthel Funeral Home on May 19th at 2:00 pm. A live webcast of the service will be available for friends and family to watch from the comfort of their homes. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
