John Harold Stevenson passed away peacefully with family by his side August 8, 2024 at Freeport Hospital Palliative Care Unit after a brave battle with AML.
He is survived by his children Trevor Stevenson, Heather (Stevenson) & John McAulay, Jennifer (Stevenson) & Lee Manchester. His Grandchildren/Great Grandchildren John Resendes Jr. Jake Stevenson-McAulay, Emily Stevenson-McAulay, Victoria Stevenson-Duplin, Brandon Manchester, Abigail Stevenson, Ella Stevenson-Manchester, Brock Stevenson, Logan Stevenson, Dominic Resendes & Ariadne Resendes. His siblings David & Ruth Stevenson, Dan Stevenson, JoAnne (Stevenson) & Leo Loraso, Mary Stevenson. Also loved by his Cousin Larry & Ruth Stevenson. Predeceased by his Parents Harold & Mary Stevenson.
John graduated from Conestoga College RNA program where he spent his career working in several hospitals including Old Freeport, GRH Main Site as well as Toronto General.
Special thanks to Dr. Dicu and the Cancer Centre, Paramed Palliative Nursing Team & Nurse Practitioner Erin. Family would also like to thank Dr. Trussler and the amazing Nurses on GR3-Freeport.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of John's life will be held at Coutts Funeral Home on Wednesday August 28, 2024 from 5-8 p.m.
