APRIL 9, 1944 – JUNE 28, 2021
Ernie Robson died peacefully on June 28, 2021 in the care of Cambridge Memorial Hospital after a short illness in his 78th year. He was predeceased by his father Hubert (1985), mother Mary (1977), brothers Roy, Milton, Owen and sisters Doris, Doreen, Arleen and Elizabeth.
Ernie's love of Hockey, Winter Hawks and Galt Hornets was only surpassed by his love of people. Each day Ernie's mission was to walk and connect with downtown Galt, Preston and Hespeler sometimes with his Galt Hornet jacket but always with his briefcase and his supply of cards or recipes to hand out and news to keep us informed of local happenings. This was his routine, until his health prevented him continuing.
Deep appreciation is extended to the Staff at Cambridge Country Manor who not only made a home for Ernie but gave compassion, security and understanding. You are amazing people.
In accordance with Ernie's wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held. Inurnment Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or The Hospital for Sick Kids would be greatly appreciated.
