APRIL 14, 1952 – SEPTEMBER 28, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Valerie Stewart, beloved mother to Tara and Chris, a cherished grandmother to Angelica, Jordyn, and Liam, and a dear sister to Carol, John, Judy, Sidnie, Stephen and the late Murray and Stephanie. Valerie passed away on September 28th, 2023, at 8 pm in Collingwood, Ontario, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished.

Valerie was born on April 14th, 1952, in the Town of Kitchener, Ontario, to Helen and the late Kenneth Stewart. Throughout her life, Valerie was known for her kind and loving nature, touching the lives of everyone she met with her genuine warmth and compassion. She had an extraordinary capacity to love, especially evident in her unwavering devotion to her family.

Valerie's greatest joy in life was being a mother to her children, Tara and Chris and mother-in-law to Terri-Lynn. Her love knew no bounds, and she took immense pride in watching them grow into the remarkable individuals they are today. As a grandmother to Angelica, Jordyn, and Liam, she showered them with affection and wisdom, creating countless cherished memories that

will be treasured forever.

In addition to her role as a mother and grandmother, Valerie was a loving sister to her siblings. She shared a special bond with Judy, Carol, John, Sidnie and Stephen. Although Murray and Stephanie have passed away, their presence remained alive in her heart, along with the memories of shared laughter and love.

Her love extended to her nieces and nephews, both close and far, whose lives she touched with her kindness and affection. Valerie cherished her friendships with Elaine, Linda, Joanne, Carolyn and Julie, finding solace and joy in their companionship. One of Valerie's greatest sources of joy was her beloved dog Coco, who brought immense comfort and companionship into her life for the past 15 years. Their bond was a testament to Valerie's nurturing spirit and her ability to find love and connection in the simplest of things.

Valerie's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all

those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the importance of cherishing the moments we have with our loved ones.

A celebration of Valerie's life will be held at 3695 Kaneff Crescent, Mississauga, ON L5A 4B6, on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at 11am. Refreshments to be served. Family and friends will gather to remember the beautiful soul who touched our lives in countless ways. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Valerie's grandchildren towards their post-secondary education, facilitated by Chris and Tara. Valerie was deeply invested in all her grandchildren's schooling and believed in the power of education to shape a brighter future. Donations can be made via email transfer to [email protected] to be shared amongst Angelica, Jordyn and Liam.

May our mother’s soul find eternal peace, and may her memory bring solace to all those who mourn her loss. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, always.

With heartfelt sympathy,

The Family of Valerie Stewart
