It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lorraine Edna Moffatt (Lori), who passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at Trinity Village, Kitchener, Ontario, at the age of 90.
Lori was born on May 19, 1934, in Guelph, Ontario, to Robert and Evelyn Cutting. She was the beloved wife of the late Russel Moffatt and a devoted mother to Barry Cooney and Steve Cooney.
Lori's legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Joshua Brenner, Darrin Countryman, and Kaitlyn Cooney, and great-grandchildren.
A passionate artist/crafter, Lori’s creative spirit was evident in everything she did. She took great pride in her projects, pouring her heart and soul into her creations, which brought joy to many. Her love for the arts was not only a personal passion but also a means of connecting with others, sharing beauty, and expressing her unique perspective of the world.
Lori’s warm heart, generosity, and love for life will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, creativity, and kindness that will continue to inspire those she touched for generations to come.
A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
