Passed away on May 29th 2024 at his residence, at the age of 85.
Born in Toronto, he was the son of the late Gordon George Sr., and Rhoda Henshaw. Predeceased by his wife, Joyce Ranger, his brother Wayne, and brothers-in-law Larry, Tom, and Ivan. Survived by his sons Stephen and his partner Steve, James and his partner Leslie, Douglas and his wife Dawn, a sister Sharon, and sister-in-law of Gloria. Gordon is he proud grandfather to six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and uncle to seven nieces and nephews. Over the years he served on several boards within the Deaf community, was actively involved in deaf sports and a huge Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan.
A private family gathering has been held, with a memorial service to celebrate Gordon’s life to be held later this year. Donations in memory of Gordon can be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
