JUNE 17, 1953 – MAY 15, 2021
It is with incredible sadness that the Lengyell and Skowby families announce Greg’s death at the age of 67 on May 15, 2021. In one of the saddest moments of our lives we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts.
Husband to Tamara Lengyell (nee Skowby). Brother to John (Judy), Carole “Midge” (Ross), Richard (Ellen), Mark (Debra), Kevin (Jane) and Lisa (Arnie) and and brother-in-law to Judith and Peter. Step-father to Mark Sitch (Ashley), Kristen Harvey, both of Cambridge and Michael Blake (Denise) of B.C. Grandfather to Liam, Lukas and Logan Sitch, Amber Harvey and great-grandfather to Zak Dickson. Greg is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Greg was born in Galt to Frank and Doreen (deceased). Also predeceased by his sister Sandra and brother-in-law Steven Skowby.
A special thank you to Dr. Tamara Holling and all the ParaMed PSW’s and nurses that cared for Greg in his last years.
At Greg’s request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to Coutts Funeral Home.
Donations in Greg’s memory may be made to the Cambridge Humane Society, Canadian Cancer Society or The War Amps and would be greatly appreciated.
