Brenda Crawford, 74, of Cambridge, ON passed away peacefully at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on September 23, 2024. Born in Galt, the daughter of the late Albert and Margette (Hickox) Picken, she was raised in Hespler and raised her family in Cambridge.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lloyd Crawford; brother Wayne (Gerri) Picken; children Wesley (Ling) Crawford and Jeffery (Joy) Crawford; grandchildren, Bei, Brendan, Taytem, Jadyn, Nathan, Emerson, Harrison and Flora.
Brenda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was especially proud of her eight grandchildren. She was a 22-year breast cancer survivor who was generous and kind, living a wonderfully full life surrounded by friends and family who adored her.
Brenda found enjoyment in the everyday drive for coffee to travelling around the world with her husband and family, making all her grandchildren’s dreams come true with a family trip to Disney World in 2015. She brought warmth and love to all family gatherings always sending the grandchildren home with bags of treats.
Brenda's hobbies included bowling, researching her family’s genealogy, and being an active member of the Ancient Mariners Canoe club of Cambridge with many days spent on the Grand River with her husband and friends.
Brenda's family will receive visitors on Wednesday September 25th, 2024 from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m at T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge. A Memorial Service to celebrate Brenda's life will take place on Thursday September 26th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, Brenda's family asks that you consider making a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society in her name.
