CHELLI, Lucia; Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday August 21st 2024 at Lisaard House, Cambridge, at the age of 90.
Predeceased by her parents Santa and Sebastiano Cherri. Beloved wife of the late Ruggero Chelli (2017). Loving mother of Maurizio (Rose) Chelli. Cherished grandmother of Carla (Anthony) Fernandes, and Patrick (Shanel) Chelli. Treasured great-grandmother of Luca, Blaise, Kane, and Tyson, who will greatly miss her home-made cookies and pasta sauce. Dear sister of Gennaro (Santa) Cherri. She will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, and cousins both here in Canada, in the USA, and in Italy.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Lisaard House in Cambridge, as well as the staff at Chartwell Queens Square, for their support and care over the last year. Special thanks to her PSW's Donna, Ashley, Stephanie, Dora, and Eleanor, who's love and care for mom never went unnoticed, as well as her life-long friend Giulia Fioretti, who helped make her life at Chartwell more cherished.
The family welcomes friends to join them for visitation at T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main St., Cambridge, on Monday August 26th from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. with parish prayers held at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday August 27th, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Italy at a later date. Donations in memory of Lucia made to Lisaard House would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
