APRIL 18, 1943 – MAY 17, 2021
It is with great sadness that our family announces Barbara passed away peacefully, with her family around her on Monday, May 17, 2021 at home, in her 79th year.
She is reunited with her beloved husband of 48 years, Howard (2013). She was also predeceased by her parents Leslie and Gladys Steggles, Telford and Susiebelle Brodhaecker, daughter in-law Joan Brodhaecker, uncle Art Steggles (May), and aunt Nellie Duffy.
Loving mother of Les, Doug (Maureen), and Sue Dwyer (Greg). Proud and loving grandmother of Stephen, Thomas and their mother Barbara, Michael, Linzee, Samantha, Austin, Kailey, and Makenna. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cousin Court and Mary Steggles, her special friend Sid Mason and many, many good friends.
The family wishes to thank the Doon Presbyterian Church, her neighbours, the support staff from LHIN and Fairview Mennonite Home for their compassionate care and support.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at Memory Garden Cemetery. A Celebration of her Life will take place when it is safe to gather.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association or Doon Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by her family.
