The Cambridge RedHawks may have lost the game on the ice last Saturday but they were winners off of it.
Through the auctioning of special jerseys worn during their Military Appreciation Night game against the St. Catharines Falcons, the team raised $6,750 for Project Enlist.
The total tops last year's auction, which raised $4,000.
Project Enlist is an organization that aims to dramatically accelerate critical research on traumatic brain injury (TBI), chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in military veterans, athletes, youth and other at-risk groups.
