The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League unveiled their 2024-25 regular season schedule on Tuesday.
The Cambridge RedHawks open the new season on the road Sept. 13 in St. Catharines against the Falcons.
They return home the following night for their home opener versus the Pelham Panthers.
A trip to Welland to face the Canadiens on Dec. 22 closes the unofficial first half before the Christmas Break, with play resuming on Jan. 2 with a game in Hamilton.
Cambridge's regular season wraps up on Mar. 8 when the Fort Erie Meteors come to Galt Arena Gardens.
With the GOJHL undergoing conference realignment this off season, the RedHawks will play several teams they traditionally haven't seen much of in the past.
Joining them in the newly formed Eastern Conference is Ayr Centennials, Brantford Titans, Caledon Bombers, Caledonia Corvairs, Fort Erie Meteors, Hamilton Kilty B's, Pelham Panthers, Port Colborne Sailors, St. Catharines Falcons and Welland Canadians.
Former Midwestern Conference rivals the Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins, Elmira Sugar Kings, Listowel Cyclones and Stratford Warriors will compete in the Western Conference.
The RedHawks meet their regional rival, Kitchener-Waterloo, just once on Oct. 6 at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.
“Realignment is something that the GOJHL has been looking at for the past few seasons, going to two conferences makes the regular season significantly more important and it also eliminates the three team round robin that was in place for the last three seasons," interim league commissioner Tim Simmons said in a release on the league's website at the time of the realignment announcement
The regular season remains 50 games with the top eight teams in each conference qualifying for the playoffs.
