Cambridge goaltender Jet Greaves is set to begin the upcoming season in the American Hockey League.
The Columbus Blue Jackets loaned Greaves to the Cleveland Monsters, the team's AHL affiliate, on Oct. 5.
Originally an undrafted free agent signing out of the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League, Greaves played in 46 games last season in Cleveland, posting a 30-12-4 record with a 2.93 goals against average and a .910 save percentage. He was named an AHL All-Star for his play.
He also appeared in nine games with Columbus and finished with a 3-6-0 record to go along with a 3.49 goals against average and a .908 save percentage.
In July, the team signed him to a two-year, two-way contract that runs through the 2025-26 season.
Greaves grew up playing within the Cambridge Minor Hockey Association.
Cleveland gets their season underway this weekend with a pair of games in Hershey against the Bears on Saturday and Sunday.
