The Cambridge RedHawks continued their off-season roster overhaul on the weekend.
The team sent defenceman Logan Van Den Akker to the Stratford Warriors in exchange for a player development fee.
Van Den Akker played in 44 regular season games for the RedHawks during the 2023-24 season, scoring two goals and adding eight assists for 10 points. He also had 37 penalty minutes.
During Cambridge's first round playoff series loss to the Elmira Sugar Kings, he had an assist in five games.
The Warriors will be Van Den Akker's third team in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League as he was a member of the St. Thomas Stars in 2022-23, putting up three goals and seven assists.
The 2024-25 GOJHL regular season schedule is set to be released in the coming weeks.
