Lincoln Baker will be in Kingston this week for training camp with the Frontenacs.

Cambridge's Lincoln Baker will be travelling east this week to attend training camp with the Ontario Hockey League's Kingston Frontenacs beginning on Wednesday.

Baker was the first Cambridge Minor Hockey Association player selected in the OHL draft this past April when the Frontenacs took him in the seventh round, 130th overall after he put up 16 points in 33 games for the Cambridge U16 AAA Hawks.

When he arrives, he'll do so having already played in four preseason games with the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League's Ayr Centennials this month. During the Eli Palfreyman Memorial Tournament over the weekend, he scored in a 9-1 win over Listowel.

Three of Baker's U16 AAA teammates from last season are also participating in training camp with their OHL clubs. Jonathan Herrington is in Oshawa with the Generals, Matthew Miller is down the road in Guelph at Storm camp and Ryder Roberson is with the Kitchener Rangers.

The Frontenacs will scrimmage three times between Thursday and Friday before hosting their first preseason game on Sept. 1 against the Ottawa 67's.

Kingston kicks off the 2024-25 regular season on Sept. 26 in Peterborough against the Petes.
