Environment Canada has issued a winter weather advisory for the Region of Waterloo for heavy snowfall.

The advisory goes into effect Monday afternoon and is calling for snowfall amounts of 4 to 8 cm and significantly reduced visibilities in heavy snow. Snowfall rates will peak up to 3 cm per hour.

While it is expected to fall heavily, due to surface temperatures being above freezing, snowfall accumulations may be limited, especially on road and walkway surfaces.
