Thanksgiving weekend in Waterloo region offers a chance to take in the fall colours, raise a pint at Oktoberfest, enjoy a parade, and get the family together for turkey dinner.
It also means many services and retail stores will be closed or have modified hours to accommodate the holiday Monday, Oct. 14.
Check online before heading out.

- Regional of Waterloo Customer Service line open 24/7 at 519-575-4400
- Grand River Transit (GRT) will operate on a holiday service schedule. Holiday service is noted on all route schedules. GRT customer service is available at 519-585-7555 (24/7) or in-person at:

- 35 Ainslie St. S., Cambridge | 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
