Volunteers needed for Apr. 23 Community Clean Up

Volunteers are invited to pick up litter clean up supplies at one of four Idea Exchange branches on clean up day and then head out to a park, natural area, or trail of their choice

Get your gloves, pickers, and bags ready.

With spring weather in full swing, anyone looking to make a difference and help keep the city clean, is invited to volunteer for the Cambridge Community Clean Up on Saturday, Apr. 23, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Hosted by Cambridge City Green (CCG), volunteers are invited to pick up litter clean up supplies at one of four Idea Exchange branches on clean up day and then head out to a park, natural area, or trail of their choice.

In the event of inclement weather, participants can pick up supplies on Apr. 23 and head out on a day of their choice.

Idea Exchange library branches:

  • Hespeler (5 Tannery Street E.)
  • St Benedict Secondary School / Clemens Mill (50 Saginaw Pkwy.)
  • Queen’s Square (1 North Sq.)
  • Preston (435 King Street E.)

For larger groups of 10 people or more, the group organizer can obtain supplies (bags and gloves) by contacting Paul at willmsp@cambridge.ca at least three days in advance of the event.

Cambridge City Green is a group of volunteers that leverages groups and individuals in Cambridge to "be the change they want to see in the world."

CCG is composed of volunteers who develop, host, and support community environmental projects like tree planting through the Cambridge Stewardship project, and litter clean ups including the Cambridge Community Clean Up Day.
