Without stepping foot into the battlefield, the Ukrainians of Cambridge have rallied together to support their country in the fight against Russia.

After a week into the invasion in Ukraine, the community will continue to raise money and support those affected by the conflict.

This Saturday, March 5, St Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church will be collecting donations from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Local members of the Ukrainian community have joined with politicians to bring awareness and set up fundraisers to send humanitarian aid to those in need. Cambridge mayor Kathryn McGarry has been very vocal on social media, showing support and condemning the Russian aggression in Ukraine.

In a tweet, McGarry said she was happy to see all of the support for the Ukrainian community and if people are looking to help they can stop by the Church and drop off donations.

Just like the people in Ukraine, the local Ukrainian diaspora answers the call when needed and stands up for their country.
