Blowing snow advisory issued for:
   Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo, Ont. (046430)

Current details:
Blowing snow and local heavy snow into Thursday.

Hazards:
Brief periods of heavy snow late this afternoon into Thursday giving up to 10 cm.
Reduced visibility in blowing snow due to westerly winds gusting up to 70 km/h.

Timing:
Late this afternoon into Thursday afternoon.

Discussion:
Brief periods of heavy snow due to lake effect off Lake Huron are expected tonight into Thursday. In addition, westerly winds gusting up to 70 km/h will develop by Thursday morning giving areas of blowing snow and poor visibility. The worst conditions are expected to the northwest of Kitchener over exposed areas.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
