St. Benedict’s High School in Cambridge sent a letter home to parents regarding a threat to the school community.

Graffiti suggesting a threat to the school community has been found at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School according to a letter sent to parents on Tuesday.

"We have been made aware of some graffiti found at the school," the letter read.

"As always, we take all threats seriously."

It's the second time in under a month, and third time this school year, a threat has been made at the high school. Police were called on March 27 at approximately 8:25 a.m. to investigate a threatening message in a bathroom.

Last September, a threat was found in a bathroom making reference to potential violence towards the school, staff and students.

The school says they've been in contact with Waterloo Regional Police Service about the current situation and are prepared to respond to any urgent needs.

"The school is taking all the necessary steps to ensure our processes for school safety are in place," the letter continued.

Parents are being instructed to reach out to school staff if a student is in need of support.
