Residents can lace up their running shoes and raise money for a good cause later this year.
The Cambridge Mill Run race is taking place June 9.
People of all ages are encouraged to sign up with both children and adult runs scheduled.
The day begins with a one kilometre kids chipmunk chase at 10 a.m. for children aged one to 12. Participants will receive a Cambridge Mill Race medal and a treat from Reids upon completion.
Following the youngsters, the eight kilometre adult race takes off down Walter Bean trail at 10:30 a.m. The race is chip timed and has a water station after four kilometres.
A post-race lunch will be provided by the Cambridge Mill as part of the registration.
Any funds raised over the cost of operating the event are being donated to the rare Charitable Research Reserve.
Rare Charitable Research Reserve is an urban land trust responsible for protecting over 1,200 acres of highly sensitive lands across eight properties in Waterloo Region and Wellington County. It manages over 14 kilometres of trails that are accessible to the public.
For those not interested in running but still hoping to be involved, the organizers are in search of volunteers. Student volunteers are also being accepted and can obtain hours towards their high school requirements.
Online registration for the race ends June 7.
