Region vaccine task force to host school vaccine clinics for back to school

No appointments required for first or second doses for youth aged 12-17 at the walk-in clinic to be held between Aug. 4 to Aug. 14

The Waterloo Region vaccine task force will be hosting school vaccine clinics across the region to offer youth aged 12-17 a chance to get vaccinated before school begins in September.

The walk-in clinics will be organized for several locations between Aug. 4 and Aug. 14. No appointments will be required for any of the clinics, however, appointments will be honoured the week of Aug. 11 at Grand River Collegiate Institute, Southwood Secondary School or Huron Heights Secondary School.

For the week of Aug. 4, Cambridge residents can go to Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School, located at 185 Myers Rd.

Vaccines will be offered at: 

  • Wednesday, August 4 from 12:30 – 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 5 from 12:30 – 7 p.m.
  • Friday, August 6 from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 7 from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

For the week of Aug. 11, Cambridge residents can visit Southwood Secondary School, located at 30 Southwood Dr.

Vaccines will be offered at: 

  • Wednesday, August 11 from 3 – 8:15 p.m.
  • Friday, August 13 from 10 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 14 from 10 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
